Being seconded to the US with work - Advice needed

a friend of my missis went to live in pheonix she was sponsored by the university for a work visa

her husband wasnt allowed to work for 3 years but no has the correct visa & is working

think it was tough on them financially with one wage & he ran out things to do when the kids were in school

this was a good few years back so may different now

Yes we’ve discussed. He doesn’t need to work now but does, he actually left his job with a plan to take 6 months off he lasted two weeks and got 4 job offers! I’d actually prefer he didn’t work now 🤷
