Avoiding boredom at Orlando airport
Flight back to the U.K. on Monday is at 5.30pm and we get kicked out of our villa at 10am. This leaves quite a bit of time to kill and not too keen on loading the car with our stuff and parking up anywhere.
Only alternative is to get to the airport and hand back the car. The dilemma here would be we would be too early to check in for our flight (BA) as presumably the check in opens 3 hours before the flight. Any suggestions? Has anyone used any of the lounges at the airport? The reviews are not great as far as I can see and don’t look like value for money |

We came back on friday, similar timings. We went to disney springs to check in, had a coffee at the Starbucks and then 2 hours at Aquatica before lunch at Florida Mall. Were TSA pre-check for security for some reason (not complaining) so still ended up with about 3 hours before the flight. Think Orlando airport airside really isn't that good> i know Manchester airport needs some updating - which is currently happening - but even with that in mind the range of shops is far better than Orlando which seems to me to be missing a trick. The range at the duty free shop is also really limited and something which i find really annoying is that they never seems to take off the right discount - 15% off 2 bottle of spirits for example which i picked specifically because they were supposed to be in the offer but weren't! Rant over.

Manchester is a predominantly airside airport, Orlando is a landside airport. The Landside at Orlando is massive. The trick is to not go through security straight away. Just keep an eye on the security times and don't cut it too fine.
