Brilliant. Reminds me of Butlins in the 1980s.

OP. Good post, well done.

I am distinctly underwhelmed by this monstrosity on the landscape and I think it's going to make the International Gateway a bit like the M25 at 8.00am!

That’s a shame it’s opening end of September, we were hoping it would be earlier so we could use it on the 18th to get from CBR to HS.

Totally agree with this - I’ve always fancied staying at YC/BC/BW but the new skyliner has put me off. I love how the gateway never seems to get packed and thought it was a huge perk of staying at the boardwalk hotels. Not anymore I’m guessing. I suppose we’ll soon see :/

I can already imagine the contained smell after a hot afternoon. I doubt Maple and Whisky will be rushing to bring out a gondola scented candle

100% agree with this !

In fact I would go further and say I’m actually furious about this. Having paid significantly more to stay in one of he hotels within walking distance of International Gateway it’s now gong to be flooded with people being dropped off by the skyline and the perk I’ve paid for is now worthless

I agree. Though it’ll probably be broken down 50% of the time like the monorail and closed for bad weather the other 50% so we wouldn’t get to use it anyway!

Day after we leave. Oh well, good job I'm not staying at one of the skyliner resorts or I would be a bit miffed

disney skyliner

The monorails of the skies will begin transporting Disney-goers starting Sept. 29.
Walt Disney World announced Monday the opening date of the gondolas that will give visitors an aerial view as they are transported to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and several resorts.
The Disney Skyliner is made up of 300 cabins which move about 11 mph, Disney has previously said.
