Brit Alamo refunds

Hi I'm considering cancelling my original booking and rebooking something else as have just looked and better car only �20 more expensive. Anyone done this and if so how long for refund? Thanks for your help

I booked with my Amex card in late 2014 and cancelled early 2015. Had my money back after 4 days I recollect.
I did it as Virgin Alamo came on at �150 cheaper!

Thanks just had another look and it's let us upgrade for �23 so didn't have to cancel. Thanks for your replies

If anyone looks up this thread for the future; I cancelled my pre-paid Alamo Brits booking on the Sunday and the money hit my account on the Tuesday.
