Florida Atlantic coast advice

We normally visit the Gulf coast but DS fancies seeing what the east coast is like for a wee change.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay for a couple of days between Miami and Kennedy Space Centre?

Indian Harbour Beach is nice. Cocoa Beach also, not stayed in any hotels there but when I went many years ago with my parents we stayed in a beach apartment in Indian Harbour Beach which was great.

We stayed at Vero Beach in August, a little cottage over the road from the beach which was fantastic. The beach was beautiful, not crowded at all. The Atlantic is much more lively than the gulf coast but this made for great body boarding which we loved!

Thanks for that! We do like the look of Vero Beach.
Am currently scouring sites looking for something that meets our wants (beach) and budget (pennies!). We weren't supposed to be going next year- ah those famous last words! However, the recent deals were too good to turn down, coupled with willpower of goldfish, so we're having a couple of days in Miami which is stretching the budget.
Do you mind me asking what the cottage is called or where you found it?
