Wish I could have got £800 direct from Manchester last year for last 3 weeks in August - I paid more than that. The year before the lowest I saw was £720 with TC and when I posted the price a number of members jumped at it as it was cheap. I'm sure if you can be flexible with dates etc you have more chance but we don't all have that as an option.

I've been looking at Virgin direct flights on and off for 2 years but prices were always too high in school holidays, I finally booked Friday! 2 adults 2 children (12/13) 7-21/08/19 with 14 nights at Baymont celebration £3100, I'm pretty happy with that. To me it seems like prices have dropped this week.

I guess that a 'decent price' is dependant on a number of factors that might limit your search options.
1. Being able to have flexibility on departure/return dates and even the length of stay (we frequently look at 15, 16, 17 nights.
2. Whether you tie yourself to one arrival and departure point (we have flown in to or out Miami, Tampa, Pensacola, Daytona Beach, Sanford).
3. Whether you tie yourself to one Flights supplier (we have used Delta tickets on Virgin Atl, Virgin Atl, Delta, First Choice, BA ).
4. Whether you will fly indirect.(door in Falmouth to door in Orlando and return journey is often quicker indirect out of LHR for us).
5. What extras you buy or get free (legroom or exit row seat selection, Meals, Hold baggage etc).
6. How much you are prepared to research and how much time you are prepared to spend on it.

I can only travel at best straddling school holidays, usually at Easter, but even then for me, the Prices being described as 'very good' would preclude my visiting at all. Directs, I have never paid more than £550 including seat selection. Each has to make different compromises.

I seem to post this quite a lot, just to make sure more people are aware, if you come back after the 3rd/4th September the flights are classed as off peak and should be had for around £3-400 in a semi decent sale.

Glad you’re all sorted

It’s always best to just book when you see a price you’re happy with
