CBR Room Request
Hey!
So we are heading to CBR in September for 2 weeks with my parents to celebrate our 2 wedding anniversaries (Parents -25years, DH and I - 3 years), however my mum now has to use a wheelchair to get about. We don't need an accessible room as she is still able to walk short distances and stand for a short period of time, but it would be beneficial for us to be close to the amenities and bus stops. Could anybody recommend what type of room request I should ask for? And is it true we need to request a ground floor room as there are no lifts? Thanks in advance! x

I know there were no lifts in our block but think most blocks are only ground and first floor. Ask for a corner room as they are a bit larger and have two windows so nice and light inside. Advisable to ask for somewhere near the main building and whatever you do don't take an 'upgrade' to a Pirate Room' chances are you will be offered one as they usually only booked (more expensive) if you have kids nuts on pirates but they are also the furthest rooms away from food court and main pool (quiet pool lovely tho), its a long walk when its 80 degrees from there. You will be nearer bus stop if nearer main building too. When we were there there were 8 bus stops and often they came full but I believe they have cut it down to 6 now & sorted out using more buses.
Hope you all have a lovely time & managed to get all the FP's you wanted.

Ah yeah, I noticed the Pirate rooms were pricier and tbh, none of us are particularly interested in pirates lol. Thank you so much, that's really helpful
Never thought to ask for a corner room, I am definitely going to request a ground floor room near the main facilities though as I think it will be beneficial all round

You could also try emailing the resort directly to explain your mother's mobility issues. They're usually really helpful:
WDW.GM.CaribbeanBeach@disney.com Another option is to see if there are any preferred rooms available and upgrading to them as they're the closest ones to all the main facilities - Barbados and Martinique. Jamaica and Aruba are standard room areas and Trinidad is where all the pirate rooms are which is totally unsuitable for you. wdwinfo/resortmaps/cbrmap.htm
