We stay onsite for 5 nights and have upgraded our dining as love the character and sit down meals. We see it as a good thing as we wouldn’t spend that much on table service meals without the dining plan.

We always upgrade if getting free QSDP - it's a foodie holiday for us as well.

I read someone a while ago had trouble but can’t remember the specifics. Given that some people have trouble converting QS to snacks it’s prudent to consider the possibility that some CMs will have trouble with TS to QS rather than just assume it’s a given.

I’ve previously been told by Disney that it’s possible but I just think it makes sense to be prepared that some CMs may not do it.

We had full DDP last trip and it was great to do all the character meals. Next time having a mod with QSDP, as well as having the freedom of not having ADRs, not having to pay tips, and having the $300 gift card will mean we will not have to spend much money while there.

We normally stay at a deluxe and get DDP automatically, however this year staying at CDR but upgrading was a must for us.
The character meals are well worth it, but it also gives such a welcome break for the adults to sit down and enjoy a meal. One of the best experiences we have had is the Brunch, and there are so many other restaurants to choose from. The tips are a pain, I think we had a bill of over 800 dollars (5 adults 4 kids) for one meal last year, so over 100 dollars tip but it was so worth it. You can also use it for things like the Fantasia show to get you reserved seating, we find this great with young ones as you don’t need to go in as early. |
