I have driven loads of time in France and to/from DLP just me and DD. Just make sure you have all the things you need (reflective jackets, breathalysers, etc), drive carefully, take your time and you will be fine... We much prefer the eurotunnel to the ferry as less waiting and stress if you are early/late for your crossing and much much quicker. We're 6 hours from Ashford so sleep over at eureka park then early train and in DLP for lunch!

I know this is an old thread... but I am wondering how the drive went for the OP as we are in west of Scotland and planning the drive over night catching early euro tunnel and then driving on to Disney... I know it will be tiring but its the cheapest way on our budget!
My husband is very anxious about sharing the drive with me haha! But I am sure it will be fine if we stop half way to swap over, and it also means the kids will be able to sleep in the car over night and hopefully be rested, as I am conscious that 8 hours in a car is a long time for them to sit...
