Austria skiing

Hi all.

A friend is hoping to travel to Austria on a skiing holiday next year. She is unvaccinated and unable to find information in relation to isolation. Embassy replied to email but the information directs you back to their site which asks you to email. She has tried finding the information for a few weeks. Her holiday company have said they cannot help. I said I would see if any Dibb members have had to isolate in Austria and ask for any advice. Thanks for reading.

We’re off to Austria in February so have been watching the requirements. We’re vaccinated but dd will have had only 1 jab.

This is taken from Facebook Ski page from a poster running a ski school in Austria.

I think you have to have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of travel and a test every 72 hours in resort, also even if you buy a weekly ski pass, they will only activate the days covered by your negative PCR test.

Over 12s if not doubly vaccinated will need a negative PCR within 72 hours of travel, will need to be tested every 72 hours in resort and your ski pass will only be activated by the amount of time covered by Negative PCR

Hi all. Thanks for your help. Your time is appreciated. She is aware that she needs to isolate for 10 days or 5 if has an extra test. What she is not able to gain any information for us how to arrange the isolation. The embassy don’t have any information and nor do her holiday company.

Thanks again.

I'm assuming she needs to make her own arrangements. So a s/c apartment with food delivered or a hotel that will provide room service.

Friend had to do this on arrival in Canada. She used AirBnB and host arranged first lot of food essentials and then friend ordered take out.

We are the same, not sure what to do. Our DD.s will also only have had one jab. We have accommodation booked, but holding off booking flights.
