Update on my sons transplant...mixed emotions

Oh my goodness, I can’t begin to imagine what you are going through. Words just aren’t enough at times...

You son sounds like a remarkable, inspirational young man.

Sending lots of loving thoughts to you all, along with the baby girls family and the donors family. I don’t know if they are kept updated but I imagine if they are they will be on a similar rollercoaster of emotions .

I’m a so so sorry to read your update. I remember your original post too. My heart goes out to your son and you and the baby girl, life so so very unfair sometimes. Your son is amazing, and I agree with everyone else, things like this make me let go of the irritations in life and live for now. Sending lots of hugs and I hope your son stays cancer-free. xxx

Prayers for strength for you all
My uncle died yesterday in a care home aged 88 and has had mental issues all his life its seems so unfair for this poor child and your son I really hope you get a positive outcome can he not have another transplant

We have an appointment with his consultant and will ask the question about retransplantation then but at the minute DS is adamant he doesn’t want to do that as a precaution. I would like to ask the question though and have all the facts.

Such a rollercoaster for you all..your son has a great attitude to it all and I hope he continues to live life to the full,you as a Mum must be so proud of him and yet worried at the same time. I hope he stays well and has a wonderful life ahead of him x

I can see why you have such mixed emotions, what a lot you’ve all been through in the last year.
I remember your post last year, and was so happy for your son and for the baby, so I’m sorry to hear this update.
But, your son is amazing. What a great attitude he has to life, so positive!
