Best masks in August heat?
Afternoon :-). Has anyone got any recommendations for light/breathable masks for August? Starting to look forward to going, but feeling a little nervous about wearing a mask in that level of heat and humidity!

I’m going to stick with the blue disposable ones. Light, practical, and no need to wash them while away. I’m taking a pack of 5 per day.

I’d be interested in responses to this question too as I don’t like the disposable ones as i found them really sweaty in Majorca last summer .
I prefer fabric ones but they’re hit and miss . |

Probably a bit sad that I know this - but Disney Food Blog did a mask comparison video which I found to be quite helpful. They’ve tried a mixture of a few and I seem to recall their preference, ultimately, was for the disposable masks.
I’ll see if I can find the video and post the link. |

I have found the best ones (and I’ve tested a good few lol) are the Athleta Active range if you can get them there.
My son plays sports and they had to wear them for playing and he managed fine in theses masks |

I have cotton masks which I find comfortable. If you wear glasses, get one with the metal bit across the bridge of your nose for a snug fit and that way your glasses don't steam up if you put the mask on first and then glasses over the top.

If we get to go we're just going to buy a bulk load of the disposable ones. We'll probably need multiple masks per day and don't want to spend every evening washing them.

My suggestion is buy a few packs in advance and find the ones you like, then buy loads of them. Last thing you want is to get to Disney and find you have a load of really uncomfortable ones or are to large/small for you.
Would be worth wearing your trial ones at home for several hours to see how you feel, or if they end up rubbing your cheeks raw. I couldnt imaging a 2 week holiday and after the first few days you end up with sores. Invest in really good SPF50 face cream. If your mask rubs off your cream, you will end up with some additional strange suntan marks, and protect your ears if you have short hair. Imagine wearing a mask on sun burns. You need to ask yourself a question. Are you wearing a mask to help protect yourself, or are you wearing a mask purely because you have to? If because you have to, then buy the cheapest ones from the pound shops. Find the ones that are like paper thin and only one layer. 2021 - The year of the strange suntan marks.
