We visit 3-4 times a year and therefore we no longer need a sat nav or guidance on what's in the area; we sometimes give directions & info to US/Florida residents we meet there!
However, our info was picked up from the leaflets/maps you'll see in hotels/malls/attractions etc or on the web; forums, trip advisor, chowhound (for food recs), what's on section of each town's site etc. You would find a guide book on the Tampa Bay Area but they're likely to focus on the city of Tampa and have a few pages at most, if any, on the towns of Madeira Beach/SPB as they're too small to warrant a book on them & people primarily visit to relax by the pool/on the beach. There's a lot to do there (Tampa Bay) but they're spread out across the area. |
