Agreed; have done all of those except Chesterfield; nearly all in the last year due to our cancelled Florida trips; lovely places.
If visiting Hexham, add Corbridge on too!

Agreed; we did Bath last month; was lovely.
We also visited nearby Wells; the Bishops Palace & Gardens; stunning!
We also made our way to Clevedon for some sea air; the pier was a delight.

Yep you’re right!
We’ve been to both but Montrose was on our trip between Dundee & Aberdeen whilst it is indeed Melrose in the Borders.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We're actually staying in chesterfield next weekend and visiting chatsworth house and the outdoor cinema event.

Will have a look into all of these places
