google says that from 1st April 19 - 31 may 19 twilight is at Manchester. not sure why it states just those dates? check with the airline before you head off to check!

We used this a couple of weeks ago and they told us it had now been made permanent.

One thing to note, you checkin and your bags get sent off BUT they ask you to stay around the terminal for 20-25 mins and then return to the desk to make sure your bags went ok.

This sounds like nothing but actually it's a real pain because there's nothing in the actual checkin area to do, no coffee shops etc. so it's a pain just standing around.

Other than that, yep, it worked fine

Didn't ask me to hang around when I used this service at the end of Apr, and can't understand why they would ask this? And yes, twilight check in is now a permanent feature at MAN. Guess it is all part of the Virgin build there.

They said it was a change made because some bags were failing to go through and thus they were asking everyone to now wait 20-25 mins and return to the desk to make sure all was well.

No idea if it's a permanent change but friends had to do the same a week or so later so it definitely wasn't a one off.

Incidentally, terminal 2 is now a complete mess as they rebuild. The arrivals car park (WEST) as it's now known, is a fair distance from the arrivals hall, outside in the rain and across multiple different non-suitcase wheel friendly surfaces into a brand new looking, but small cramped spaces, car park.

It's never been my idea of a great airport and now it's even worse.

Still, it's close I guess.
