Rumour has it BA may require Covid test before travel

The flight sites are rumouring that BA may require a Covid test before flying and they are partnering with Boots to offer this.

No idea if this is true and who knows what happens on the return but one to think about

Wonder if that's both ways and what is the infrastructure at destinations to get a second COVID test to return? would seem a bit of a gesture of only one way

I'd have thought the last thing they want to do is something else to put people off flying.

I'd be delighted if this could be arranged through BA. We are finding it difficult to source a test locally that can be done 72 hours prior to departure and we can have the results guaranteed prior to departure. It's not easy, most rely on the postal system and its a bit tight considering we have to leave Glasgow 18 hours before our flight. Being done by BA would mean the results would be available on their schedule. I am assuming there will be a charge, but that's OK since we need them anyway.

Some airlines (especially to the very lucrative Middle EAST routes) already require this - makes sense to me if it means I can fly
