Is Old Town, Kissimmee worth a visit for a gentle mooch?

We spent many a night in the Southern Breeze while staying at the Seralago, met some fantastic people and had some great chats about the world and its wonders with the Americans visiting Florida.

We have been many times over the years and have had some nice times there and imho it has gone downhill over passed few years so much so we haven't been there for a few years. Agree with the OP who says that car parking on those nights is an absolute nightmare we had to park in this field once and the walk to the centre of old town was not great I didn't feel safe and just held on to my husbands arm very tightly it was a little dodgy. So that put me off really. If they are investing in Old Town and doing some refurbishments then that is good news. I always say to people if you have never been to places go and see and form your own opinion were all different !

We went last saturday, i thought it was a lovely evening, we walked around the cars, didnt once feel unsafe or it being seedy. We took an uber as we dont have a car this trip, so no trouble at all with traffic or parking!

Rather than fret over the details, maybe compare Kissimmee to other parts of Florida you consider safe?!?

I have never felt unsafe on my Florida vacations. I'm sure areas exist that are worse than others, but the tourist spots and even old town have never felt dangerous to me.

Does anybody have any bad experiences to share?
