Check this out - due to the wide diversity of likes/dislikes in my family we have now opted for the folllowing:::
Me - Sleuth's Mystery - sounds good & I like Cluedo! DW - Arabian Nights - she's a horse nut! DD1 - Pirate Adventure - I'm sure she's only looking at the Pirates! DD2 - Dixie Stampede - purely for the variety & she fancy's seeing ostrich racing So given the above I've booked for the whole lot! That's 4 meals sorted out of the three weeks! |

We went to Arabian Nights because the tickets at themeparkland.co.uk were £14.25 which seemed very cheap. It was a good show, very american at the end to the point it made me feel sick. Wouldn't go again but good for one visit.
Hope to go to Sleuths in November hope we don't get force fed over the top american patriotism with our food. |

I've been to both Slueth's and Dixie Stampede. Both of which are good. Going to these places you need to go into it understanding that they are feeding a mass audience so you aren't going to get an upscale meal. It is supposed to be the entire experience and not one element of it.
Sleuths Mystery theatre is good but small. It doesn't hold the crowds like the other facilities do. Don't go expecting a huge theatre. It is more intimate and may provide a better experience for some. The stage is simple and you must rely on your imagination to fill in the gaps where sets do not. If you have an Entertainment discount book you can save $7.50 instead of the standard $4.00 coupon. Dixie Stampede is good and quite large. Arrive early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment so that you can get your money's worth from it. Please note that no alcohol is served at Dixie Stampede. You do eat with your hands (old prarie style) so bring your own knife and fork if you chose to leave your imagination at the door. Also, the show does end with a patriotic note so be prepared if this is something you aren't up for. However, it is tastefuly done. Also, the standard $4.00 off coupon applies as Dixie Stampede has yet to be a part of the Entertainment book. Having said all of this, and growing up in Orlando (30+ years), I will be visiting BOTH Sleuth's and Dixie Stampede when we are on holiday in December. Out of all of the choices I personally feel that these are the 2 best dinner shows to take my family (who has never been to Orlando) to. Enjoy! |
