Alamo premium line at Sanford 7th June

Landed at 2.30 but another Thomson flight had got in ahead of us so immigration and Alamo desks busy. Still got through a lot quicker than would have at MCO.

Not a great deal of choice in the premium line. Two impalas, both in LT trim, three Nissan maximas and the Buick LaCrosse which I took. Surprisingly for Alamo it was higher mileage, 21,000, but sill in good nick if a little tired inside. Drives well if you like a big car that soaks up all the bumps and imperfections in the road and a good cruiser. Pity there was no manual so I'll have fun working everything out

Robert. Nice car, I like the Buicks.
Manuals seem to be disappearing from all the cars now. I suppose loads used to get pinched as well
Not a problem with high end cars where its on the car 'menu' but not so good for the more basic ones.

Thanks for posting OP. We will be picking up from Alamo at Sanford next week so interested to hear about the choice in the premium line. Just noticed that on the Alamo website they are now saying "Buick LaCrosse or similar", whereas it was "Impala or similar" previously. What's the luggage space like in the Buick? We need room for 3 large suitcases in the trunk

You won't get three in the trunk. I got two and some hand luggage. Impala has a bigger boot but not by much

Thanks for the reply. Think we'll hope for an Impala then. Have a great holiday

Look for it in LTZ trim which is top trim. There were only a couple of LTs when I arrived

Up at silly o'clock having arrived yesterday so thought I'd update this thread. About a dozen cars in the premium line at Alamo Sanford yesterday. We went for an Impala due to the impressive luggage space in the trunk. Got 4 large suitcases and some hand luggage in no problem. About 5 Impalas to choose from, all LT trim. We chose a nice dark blue one as it looked newer. Also 3 Buick Lacrosse to chose from, and some Nissans and Toyotas. As said plenty of choice, though we were 1st into Alamo off our flight.
