Driving me insane - A child's television series from my childhood

I am trying to find the name of a children's television programme from the 70s/80s. I have a clip of this prgramme trapped on a loop in my head! Driving me to distraction. I have gone through lists of programmes from this era but to no avail.

One character is a french girl about nine years old who has been staying in an English stately home. She runs away, because of a danger to her life, with a young teenage English boy, who I think is the stable lad. I think they are searching for her guardian.

I think it was set it Bristol or Yorkshire and when on the run it looked like a scene from Oliver.

Not a lot of information, but this is just the clip jammed in my head. If anyone knows the name of this programme I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you.

I thought it was Moondial but I don’t think she was French . She stayed with her aunt ( I think) in a stately home and went back in time .

Unfortunately not the Water Babies nor Moondial.

Flambards, loved that programme and the music, but not that either

Thank you for the suggestions, I just hope the darn clip doesn't jam your brain too.

Don't think she was French but the Wolves of Willoughby Chase came to mind when reading that description.
