Would have been approximately 18 tests for a 3 night trip for our family of 5 so we decided to cancel.

Hoping to go between Xmas and NY next year.

We’re due to cross Saturday morning. We decided to go for it and finally booked all our tests and our crossing (driving through the tunnel) on Sunday night.

My biggest fear is testing positive out there but our accommodation is booked for an extra 3 nights after we come back (it was a week or nothing self catering and it still made financial sense) and if it’s bonkers money to finish our isolation there, my dad lives in Limoges and said we could drive there and isolate in his barn (as much as it’s the wrong way and we’re assuming we’d be well enough to get there).

I’m not sure what we’d have done if we’d got a package: probably moved it 🙈 But we’ve not long left on our annual passes and I feel a bit like we could be postponing forever!

I’m trying to stay positive! (Mindset not tests 😂&#128514

This was going to be our first Disney Christmas (well, other than having a Disney tree decorated, etc!) and we've just given up our hope of going 19th to 23rd December (erm, again).

It's just too much stress trying to figure out if we were ordering the correct tests, if they'd arrive in time, if the results would come back in time, how much it was costing - and then there was the thought that someone might actually scupper the trip at any stage by testing positive!

I'm gutted. I'd got myself all (re)psyched up after thinking about it again this morning, ready to book tests and seeing that the hotel (Dream Castle) had dropped in price by €150 for the 4 nights. Then I started to get stressed about clicking the "PAY NOW" button for the tests and realised it's not worth my mental health stressing about it again for the next 2 weeks.

I'm feeling very sorry for myself but, let's face it, if this is the worst of what I've got to be worried about, I'm in a fortunate position.
