Had op today about 2ish. Home at 6.30. Got cramps and very dizzy but otherwise fine. Will let everyone know how I am over the next few days as I know I was nervous. I’m off to bed. X

I need to get back to my GP, my periods started getting ridiculously heavy about 4 years ago, the flooding was awful, particularly as I’m a nurse and can’t just run off to the loo! I’ve been on the pill for the last 2 years but it’s making me crazy and I have no sex drive so have stopped that and even my first withdrawal bleed was terrible! Awful pain and still bloody flooding!

I’ve never been diagnosed with endo, but my younger sister has and has already had to have her womb scraped and has just recently had to have a full hysterectomy. I’ll get to the GP this week I think.

It really is worth discussing. I’m hoping it’s successful for me. Still feeling a bit whoozy today from the GA and slight cramping. X

I’ve had seriously bad periods since my last c section 6 years ago when I was sterilised at the same time.
Flooding all the time I’ve also since had a mirena coil fitted to try to help but nope I’m still the same. I’ve had a womb biopsy and a scan. Biopsy clear and scan showed something but I can’t remember what it was like endo but it’s not on the inside of womb? 🤦🏻 I use tampons and pads and change every 2 hrs, sometimes more often. They won’t do a hysterectomy unless it’s an emergency due to scar tissue from 4 c sections causing issues and the same for anything else I believe so I’m just praying I go through the menopause soon however with my luck that’ll be just awful too!

I’ve just got used to it I think! Doesn’t matter what tone of the month it is if I’m on a night out I’m using tampons and pads just in case 🤦🏻

I’ve said it before but the op has been life changing for me but thank goodness we have private medical insurance as because of my weight I would be denied treatment on the NHS.
