Air Canada Rouge .. and long connection in Toronto
Hi, just wondering if anyone can share their experiences of Air Canada Rouge, please?
Also, if you have a 6-8 hour connection in Toronto (Pearson), is there enough time to get out of the airport and see anything? Thanks! |

Hi it takes about 40 mins into the city. By the time you get through customs etc you might have enough time for a couple of hours. What we did in the past was stay for a couple of days and then travel down, this was at no extra cost.

We did this a few years ago and took the opportunity to stay a few days in Toronto and visit relatives and do some sightseeing. If you do this you need to apply for the Canadian version of esta. Also when flying on to the states you can do pre-clearance at Pearson airport so no queues at MCO.
No seat back screens so you download an app to your device.

Have been looking at this, I think Niagara Falls is 90mins away?, So an extra day in Toronto would be great, but can't see how to book without cost going through the roof, as per other posts, anybody any ideas?

In theory yes. But in practice it not that easy. Toronto is up to hour away, depending on traffic, and you have the return journey. You'll need to have transport. Also to add you clear US customs at Toronto Pearson. Then you when you in the city you have to work out what you what to see or do. The Path is great but it 10km long with plenty of shops. The Eaton centre (shopping) is a fantastic. You could go up the CN tower, that would take about best part of an hour. You can do it as long as your confident getting to and from the airport.

We had an 11 hour layover with Westjet in Toronto one year. Arrived at 9am and our flight out was at 8pm. The airport has a newish express train service (UP) into the city and you can buy a special layover ticket that is valid for about 7 hours and was a bargain price of about CAD 25 for the whole family.
