We have booked our first cruise.

Hi all we have just booked our first cruise on the MSC Davina, for 14 nights, western Caribbean for next year.We have a balcony cabin on the 10th deck.

We are total newbies to this, so looking for some advice about the drinks packages.

We have enquired about the all inclusive drinks package but it seems so expensive... £34 per person per day, so that means just under £1000 for our 14 day cruise, it just seems a lot of money to pay extra.. Do you all pay for the drinks packages or do most of you pay at the end of the cruise.. We don't know what to do for the best.. some advice of all you experts would be nice lol xx also any other tips on cruising, thanks in advance

Helen

Hi
We have never taken the drinks package unless it was included as part of the price, we don't drink enough to get our money's worth! especially with port intensive cruises.

Oh a word to the wise, be prepared to become addicted to cruising!

Hi and Welcome to cruising only ever done DCL (5 times) and Carnival once so never done Drinks Package yet but we are on the MSC Divina in November and it's $45 per person a day... sound expensive but it includes every drink you will need soda's, Tea, Coffee, Speciality Coffee's, Water, Alcohol and cocktails and on our last Disney 11 nights cruise our Bar bill was $1346 so around £900 ...

Thanks both, it's all so new to us, we usually go all inclusive on other holidays to the Caribbean so everything is all included in the price, so we don't know what to do for the best lol.

Kevbrydon you will have to let us know what the ship is like when you get back it does look lovely...what cruise are you doing, we are doing the western Caribbean from Miami.
Thanks JSP, yes we have been told by others we will become addicted lol, we used to addicted to Florida for years when the children were younger.. So maybe this will be our new addiction lol .
I will probably have lots more questions to ask you all in the coming months lol xx
Thanks Helen
