to cruise or not to cruise, that is my dilemma...
We currently have a 16night stay at CBR booked for next summer, we are debating whether to include a cruise or not.
We could either do 12nights at CBR then a 4 night Disney cruise. or stay the full 16nights at CBR but do a day trip to discovery cove. Is a cruise worth the money? are transfers to the port expensive (no car hire)? what could we do with our luggage on our last day when we get back from the cruise if we don't fly til evening? No flights booked yet so don't know which airline we'll be with but doubtful it'll be virgin which rules out using the drop off at Disney springs. |

I do think the cruises are worth the money. We went on Dream at Christmas and it was fantastic! We had 8 nts at OKW then 4 night cruise and another 2 nights after our cruise at AoA.
You can use DCL buses to and from the resort for $35 per person each way. The buses after the cruise either go to a wdw resort or MCO. Depending on the size of your party it may be more cost effective to use a car service. If you are staying at a wdw resort before and after the cruise they will store and transfer luggage (if staying at different resorts ) for you. HTH Edited at 04:02 PM. |

They will also store any luggage even if you are just staying before the cruise. I heard today that 80% of first time Cruisers book again. so that does show it is a great experience.
We did a once in lifetime cruise 2 years ago. in 38 days we go on cruise 3 and 4 is this Christmas.

Be warned you will be hooked ! :-) we did our first, and it was for me a very very reluctant choice of trip, but once bitten ! Loved every single second of it and been on 18 since, yip 18 and 19th in August :-) Its the relaxing nature, the food , the service , the choice of drinking places , eating places and just getting swished from port to port country to country.

12 nights then cruise! Wow what a plan! You will be much more excited about that than a day to DC, in my opinion, just bear in mind you will be hooked and it will be a lifetime habit!
