Mistakes/Bad Days at Disney?
We're all human and make little mistakes right. That's pretty normal.
Imagine planning a trip to Disneyworld in 2016, you sort out everything, tickets ADRS, fastpass (RIP), parking, hire car for my husband as I didn't drive at that time... 10 hour flight done, collection of luggage done... then you decide to chill with the luggage and the kids whilst your husband goes to collect the hire car. You're sat for almost 2 hours with a 1 year old and a 8 year old wondering where the hell he's gone. Kids are understandably tired and irritated. Now imagine your husband coming back with the hire car area and informing you that he FORGOT to bring his driving licence! 😳 The only reason we were able to get the car was because he's in the Military and had that ID. (Military Plant by trade so he actually has all licenses) Still not sure how we managed to get that car (with an upgrade too) without him having a driving licence. That's some massive luck right there 😂 I was MAD 😂 So it brought me to thinking what are your stories from Disney? Your mistakes? Worst days? |

The first time we decided to just do universal and stay onsite at cabana bay I did all the usual planning and printed off all itineraries and paperwork, snug as usual that once again I had done brilliantly and what would the family do without me then we woke up the first day to go to the parks, went to grab the tickets and realised I had left them at home.
Thankfully this was also the first time our eldest stayed behind and she had to go to our house and send pics of our paper tickets which universal honoured No matter how much I get right everyone always reminds me of the one time I got it wrong 😂

The lost passports
Packing to come home when I said to DH well all I need to do tomorrow after the parks is put the passports in the flight bag where did you put them Knew right away he hadn’t a clue Hours of frantic searching no passports Now I did ask him to check the camera bag remember this bit So a few frantic phone calls and the only thing for it a trip to the consulate for temporary passports several $ later and they didn’t take CC We’d to extend the holiday move to a different villa rearrange flights But we got 5 extra days in Florida He finds the original passports in the camera case weeks later |

We got all the way to there and was queuing for the hire car, in 2004? I think it was. My dad has left everything at home, no Disney passes, no car hire information, literally everything was at home (he had swapped travel bags before we left and only remembered passports and spending money)
as things were a lot less digital back then, we were lucky that we had a package booked through Virgin and they managed to retrieve everything for us.

wrong shoes, uncomfortable clothes and too much stuff in my bag.
The first time I went to Disneyland California I went with California friends who grew up going to the parks. It was a one day visit as part of a longer trip to LA. I was so totally dressed wrong for a day at the parks and had no clue about how much walking we would do and how much stuff in my bag I did not need. I dressed for a nice day out, nice shoes and lots of stuff in my bag which got heavier and heavier as the day went on. My feet were in bits by the afternoon and I was hot and tired and just so over everything. Where as my California friends wore shorts, a t shirt and runners and just had their things in pockets or small backpacks. |

First trip there hubbie put our home house keys away safely...
2 fabulous weeks later and as we were waiting to board the plane home he realised he had left them hidden We landed at a very early time and had to sit in the airport until we could get hold of our friend who luckily had our spare keys!
