T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe or Neither?

Hello!

We are busy planning our ADR’s for our 2019 trip at the moment. We have planned in most of the restaurants that we know we want to do but are left with a couple of slots left and not sure where to go. We are on the DDP and we have never done either T-Rex or Rainforest cafe and part of me thinks that this is because I’d seen negative reviews on them before. What do you guys think? Should we do one of these or give both of them a miss?

T Rex was much better than expected- but that was 2016.
I was then reluctantly dragged to Rainforest this year (at Animal Kingdom) as we have the Landry's card. I would say it was some of the best food and definately the best service we had all trip. I am still surprised at how good it was.

Only been to rainforest and wouldn't go back. Food was awful and expensive for what it was! I was gutted we didn't go to earl of Sandwich instead.

Enjoyed Rainforest at AK although found it very noisy. Didn’t stay for dessert even though on DDP as the choices were very limited.

We ate at Rainforest in DS in 2016 and enjoyed the food. My meatloaf was really tasty and filling and we shared the volcano cake which was very nice too. We loved the theming too but did find it very noisy and dark.

The first time we went in 2011 TRex was amazing but when we returned 4 years ago we were really disappointed with the food & the service. We won't be going again. Saying that if you have young kids it really is a fun experience!

If you like Dinosaurs, go to T Rex. The place is brilliant and the food is decent enough.

I'm not sure whether it's familiarity or standards have dropped but I've been disappointed with the last two visits to TRex and think Disney Springs has lots more to offer now.
Enjoyed Rainforest Cafe at AK for lunch last year but hadn't been in it for a few years.

Having said that next time I go will be with my young grandson and I'm sure we'll visit one of them as the theming is good and he'll love it

It's not fine dining but we enjoy both but prefer Rainforest Cafe as it's not as manic. A trip wouldn't be complete for us without it
