Yes. Seems that way. Union needs to give 14 days notice.

Have a lovely holiday!

There is therefore a possible outcome here where you end up on a flight a day or 2 early with an extra €600pp in your pocket.

Yes for your outbound. BALPA have to give 14 days notice. So your outbound is fine.

Your inbound might be impacted.

Yes - but their reasoning was drip feeding caused more problems and no reason to think the same tactic wont be used this time. Their objective is to cause mayhem and drip feeding allows less planning time.
Hope it is resolved.

For those booking the Norwegian fully flexible fares - are you booking return or one way fares please? We are due to travel out on 24 August MAN-LHR-LGW-MCO,returning on 6 September. I don’t mind if they drop the MAN-LHR part as we can get to LGW easily enough. I am contemplating booking the Norwegian fully flex for our outbound journey from LGW as a back up plan at £709 per person one way (ouch!). If the strike effects our outbound but not our inbound flight, would we still be able utilise the inbound portion of our ticket or would both parts be cancelled? So confused!

Fair enough, however I would think pilots not flying will cause enough problems, there is a lot more cabin crew to fill places than pilots. I'm sure we shall see soon. Just need someone to see sense!

It would be your choice i believe. But, i dont know what value BA would put on each half of the flight. It may not be a 50% refund.
