How Busy is Disney Springs on a Sunday?

Whilst it'll be some time before I can plan park days for real I am having fun with a bit of a play with our days.

We've only been to Disney Springs in the evenings before apart from one quick dash to House of Blues on our home day (Saturday) last trip.

I'm really keen to do the California Grill Brunch on our middle Sunday and maybe not a park with such a large meal mid-morning so was thinking about maybe a spot of shopping at Disney Springs and some mooching? But I'm not sure what the crowds are like at the weekend? Is it a general shopping destination for locals which might make it heaving?

Any other suggestions for that Sunday? We're doing 13 days onsite so don't need to cram loads in every day but we're not getting any other tickets apart from our Disney ones.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Rx

I do think it was much busier on a weekend, like you say, I would imagine the locals use it more on a sat/sun especially since all the new shops have been opened.

We went late Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago and it was rammed but if you're going for brunch I would think it would be better.

I wouldn't call it a locals shopping destination, the non-Disney stores are just chains available elsewhere in Orlando. It wasn't what it is now, but no way would I have travelled to Disney property to shop when I lived in the area.

But that doesn't mean it won't be crowded. I suspect a lot of on-site guests go there on weekends trying to avoid the park crowds. Plus locals will be there for the dining options, a lot of which are unique for Orlando.

Personally I'd go for brunch and then enjoy a wander in MK afterwards since you're within walking distance. More to soak up the atmosphere than run from ride to ride. Or go on a monorail tour of the deluxe resorts.

You could do the brunch at narcoosees or Cali grill then perhaps hire a sun seeker for a hr around the lake.
Disney Springs is better mid week.

We did our first trip to Disney Springs on a Sunday Evening and it was rammed, I hated it. Going there midweek morning was much more pleasant but I would say that is the same for anywhere like that, mornings are quiet afternoons and evenings get busy.

I’ve always found DS ok during the day at weekends. I’d definitely recommend Cali Grill brunch though..it’s awesome. Do allow 1.5 to 2 hours for it though. Its a leisurely meal for sure

Mornings are much quieter and we often go to Earl of sandwich for breakfast and a wander around. I love the atmosphere in the evenings, but it tends to get busier as the day progresses, with weekends the busiest.
