MCO is a mess!
Arrived yesterday. MCO immigration hall is currently a right mess. Half the hall is closed only 3 baggage carousels currently one was broken and 5 flights had landed. All the signs showing what flights were on what carousel were off. It was a total mess.
I habe global entry so was through immigration in 2 min but waited an hour for my cases. Half the immigration desks are closed as well. Expect delays over next few weeks as the rebuild continues. |

Any one know when the building work is suppose to be completed. We were first timers in november and found mco very difficult to navigate around on arrival especially when tired and with 3 young children! We are returning oct 19.

Gavvy. What flight were you on? We were on the VS15.
We also got through in minutes but knew we would have to wait for our Son as he hasn't done GE and won't be. Big shortage of CBP Officers, lots of flights and the carousels as you say. I think we were 50 mins from getting off the plane to leaving the hall. If our Son hadn't been with us maybe a lot less as our cases were first off the plane.

We were on the. VS 0015 yesterday too, absolute bedlam through immigration. We were upstairs on the plane so got off sharpish but even with supposed priority luggage we were well over an hour and a half. It’s so much easier going indirect!

I was on the gatwick thomas cook flight. We ended up on carousel 1 sharing with a Thomas cook man flight. There were cases snd people everywhere. The BA flights cases were half on the floor too.
Never seen such a mess. If the monitors were working it woukd have helped. Anyway all done now! Its 7am and jetlag kept me up since 5... im off to find a toothbrush as I think I left mine at the hilton in Gatwick. Thomas cook premium was pritty good btw. Slight notch down from virgin PE but was 180 less pp! Through we did have a 9.5 hour flight... never had it that long before!

Gavvy I have just been E Mailing our friends who were on the LGW BA flight that arrived just after us. They had a big delay as well and got kept airside for a while. The VS15 took 8 hours 50 mins. The headwinds were 100mph according to the Pilot.
I saw the TC luggage and of course the Lufthansa flight then arrived that made even more chaos. Hey ho all done now. Now I know we can't cater for being held airside or waiting for luggage but I'm so pleased we have done GE. Money well spent. One question only, how long are you here for? Have fun, goodbye. If we hadn't had to wait for our Son it would have been fine.
