I think whatever is the most popular tends to be most expensive

I booked in the early hours today with the intention of maybe cancelling and rebooking if the prices fall. I won't be able to under this policy now as my flights are September 17th to October 1st.

One to be aware of.
If you're not happy with being in that position you can still cancel within 24 hours of making the booking, without penalty.

I tend to put the dates in as a flight only first, look at flights to Miami/Tampa/Orlando (in that order) and make a note of the cheapest dates to fly, and what airport it's from, and then do the same on the return leg. Make a note of the return price, and then go to the BA custom my booking option, and do it that way. Fiddle around with the departure airport (done Miami both ways twice, into Tampa out of Miami, into Orlando out of Miami - that one got cancelled) Next year we are doing into Miami and out of Tampa, that was the cheapest price for us and split the car hire into 2 bookings (dropped two days while at HRH) and it was just over £3k, my upper limit is £3k so happy with that. It takes time of course, and generally works out if you are willing to drive, doesn't bother us as we travel 5 hours every few months down to Cornwall to see the family so long journeys are fine. Next year we fly out on a weds, and back home on a Monday night, so 19 nights in total.
