Toll Pass

Afternoon,

I read somewhere (or could have been dreaming) that Alamo have a ezpass system within the car that you use and they then bill you at the end like the fuel.

has anyone heard this ?

Jason

Yes if you drive through a Toll without paying the Sunpass lane it automatically start for that day with a charge of $3.95 + the toll charge. Each day you use the facility it charges you $3.95 plus the toll up to a max if $19.95.
All charged to the card you left with them when you began the hire.

Alamo don't have transponders in their cars.

A camera over the traffic lanes at the toll plaza will read the car number plate and then the card number you used with alamo will be charged a daily admin fee of $3.95 plus the tolls for that day a few weeks after the rental ends.
(You only get charged admin fees for the days you use the toll roads up to a maximum of 5 days + tolls and after that, it's just tolls.)

Simplicity itself :-)
(just try and remember how many tolls you do so you have a rough idea of what to expect )
