Booking tomorrow...

Hey there guys ...we're hoping to book tomorrow for an October 2018 cruise and I'm just finishing my research...there's so much to think about so I'm a wee tad overwhelmed! We had decided on a deluxe inside room for our first ever cruise as well feel like we probably won't spend much time in the room and the kids love the idea of the characters popping up on the virtual window! However, I'm now having a slight panic! Would any of you say it's worth the extra Ł160 ish to go for a deluxe family ocean view room? I'm thinking the extra room could be useful with there being 4 of us?
Also, is there a pull down bed in the inside rooms? Or where do the kids sleep as I can't really tell from the pics on the website and it doesn't mention it in the sticky.
And lastly...can any of you recommend any particular cabins (deluxe inside or deluxe family outside) that you found to be great location etc as I'm seriously clueless about all this?! Sorry for warbling on all help greatly appreciated

It's been a few years since we sailed with Disney but if the cost difference between inside and oceanview is only Ł160, I would definitely go for oceanview. We've been in both inside and oceanview with Disney and much preferred the natural light of the oceanview. We have also done a balcony room on another cruise, which was nice, but under used really. Oceanview would be our choice for future cruises.

Awe perfect thanks so much for that! I'm not sure exactly how much it'll be as dates aren't released till tomorrow but for the September cruises it's around about that so I figured it probably wouldn't change much

Can I just ask what deck you were on for your outside cabin please? Or if there's an outside room you would recommend in particular? Thanks for your help

We've only sailed on the Wonder and Magic so can't help with room location on the Dream. Bats would be your best bet, she knows all there is to know about Disney cruises.

Yes, there will be pull down beds in the inside rooms. When we cruised on the Dream we stayed in stateroom 6110. It is towards the front of the ship & had 2 portholes which you could sit in. My kids loved this! I think it was a category 8A. Other category 8 staterooms would have 1 porthole with seating. There are obviously other categories with portholes.
We liked being on deck 6 as it was in the middle & only 1 floor down to the kids clubs & only a few flights up to the pool deck.
It was a fab cruise & tbh you will have a fab time no matter which stateroom you choose.

Cruise deck plans is handy for looking at room types and locations. We were in a verandah room on Dream which was lovely... but looking at the prices for the cruise we want to do next year I think it will have to be an ocean view!
Personally I wouldn't like an inside room... I need a bit of natural light! For only Ł160 I would definitely go for the o/v.

Awe that's great, thanks so much for sharing! I'm honestly so excited about trying the cruise and good to know that it'll fab no matter what room we choose
My kids would also love the portholes you can sit in so might try have a wee look and see if it's possible to get that room, thanks again that's a massive help

Thanks so much for that! I quite like the idea of a verandah but I honestly don't think we'd use it enough on such a short cruise so yeah think you're right about pricing too an o/v will be our limit me thinks although I'd defo consider it for the longer cruises in the future...I have a feeling Disney cruises are addictive
