From what I can gather its a bit like eating your own food in the Parks - not really encouraged or promoted... but plenty of it goes on - just don't make it too obvious that's all.

There is a Publix not too far from the port (just off the main highway) that is handy for pre- cruise shopping.

Yes, as Judy says, as long as it's not made too obvious (although I ahve seen people with beer collers go onboard!) DCL are fine with this. It does make it cheaper if you ahve your own drinks before dinner etc. If you take your own wine to dinner this is a steep corage fee (still cheaper than buying their wine though)
