He said that if it is a wool or natural fibre carpet then it will probably dye it and you will find it hard to get out. A carpet cleaning company may be able to but he would be very surprised if the stain comes out completely. Sorry

I’ve read that lifting it using nail varnish remover and then kitchen towel to dab it and keep doing that will help.

Can’t hurt if I guess if you don’t want to go down the insurance route.

Have to say we dropped beetroot on ours and the insurance man said the only thing that won’t come out is beetroot and lucozade.

Solvent eg acetone(nail varnish remover) if that doesn’t help try vodka (ethanol) if that doesn’t work try tar remover ( petroleum spirit) really depends on the inks solvent base but as others have said it might actually spread the stain so please take care.

I got pollen from a lily on my brand new living room carpet and got it out with 1 part bleach to 6 parts water. Mine is a Cormar brand polyester carpet and bleach cleanable so I went onto their website for instructions. Do you know what kind of carpet it is?

Well thanks everyone, its coming out and slowly and you probably have to squint to see it but I am going to get the carpet cleaner out on Wednesday and see if a bit more comes out.

The best result seemed to be the Dr Beckman stain devil, I use for washing clothes sometimes, that seemed to shift it a bit harder.

Thanks everyone. xxx
