esta help
Hello,
I'm trying to complete my esta and have hit a difficulty. For US point of contact I have entered unknown in the fields for NAME, ADDRESS LINE 1 and I have entered ORLANDO for the CITY and FLORIDA for the STATE. I have also entered 0000000000 for the phone number. When I try to go to the next page it says there is an error on the page: Address Validation: Invalid Street Name. I have also tried changing the city and state to unknown but it made no difference, can anyone shed any light? Thanks, Alifin |

You need to add the address of the place you are staying at. If staying at a hotel, your travel agent should have provided you with this.

We have yet to book so don't have an address. The ? advises you to add unknown if it is unknown. Thanks for replying though.

Did ours a couple of weeks ago but can't remember every question I'm afraid.
Against the question as you know there is a ? symbol which I recall says that you can put "unknown". Once you've entered "unknown" though why not try leaving all the other fields blank. The ESTA software probably doesn't like you filling in other fields once you've put "unknown" Mick

Hi Mick,
Just tried what you suggested but it doesn't like that either. It says to put unknown in the ? by the question but is then rejecting it. Driving me mad because I'm chomping at the bit to get flights booked! Thanks, Alifin |

I had this - I'm sure when it says the address is invalid you just submit again and it accepts it.

Sorry can't help more I'm afraid. We're going back to the same villa that spans about three or four ESTAs so we fill the address in. Dozens of Dibbers have said they are OK with "unknown" so maybe one of them will be along soon to help. Silly question but have to ask after an unfortunate thread recently - you are on the official site? Mick

Thanks all for your replies.
Baboon was right. I hit next, it gave an error, I fit next again, same error, hit next a 3rd time and a new wee message appeared under the error message saying to tick the box that the address entered (unknown) was correct. ticked the box, hit next again...Ta da! Did this for all four family members , all now approved. I am almost certain we will end up back at Blue Tree Resort so could have entered that and would have if it didn't go through. Alifin |
