Virgin Check in Online

Hi all,

We fly tomorrow (yay!) and I've just checked in online with Virgin but when I tried to check DH in I got this message:

"We can't check you in online because government regulations require that you check in at the airport"

Does anyone know what it means, please?

I have read that this has happened before on other threads. Apparently it is nothing to worry about but a certain % of passengers require to check in in person. Sure another Dibber will be on shortly who has more info.

You'll probably just get extra security checks, nothing to worry about

Not a problem - he's earmarked for additional security checks is all... standard practice.

I just went to do our OLCI too - 5 of us could check in but I got this message for my 13yo. Off to the desk for us in the morning!

I had the same message on Monday before we flew Tuesday. I checked in at the airport then, before boarding was taken to one side for an additional security check (bags searched and patted down), it was fine. Have a great trip...the weather is lovely here x
