Arrival at airport time
Our flight is 10.50 and will be doing on line check in 24 hours before.
We have breakfast at Premier Inn before going to Manchester Airport. What would you suggest is a good time to arrive? There's 8 of us with 5 suitcases, hand luggage and a pushchair. Was thinking of leaving Prem Inn at 8 as would already be checked in so just a matter of put cases through then security. Reason we ask is our friends have a 2 year old so want to let her lie in as long as possible as its a long day. |

8 sounds OK, for me I would still like to be there for at least the 3 hours. The problem for you is, will the excitement allow you.

We've always done the 3 hour thing then always hanging about for ages, then every time we say next year we'll go 2 hours but on the day always go at least hours
Think this day and age with super dooper computers etc the 3 hours isn't needed but better to be there hanging about than missing the flight due to a hold up in say security i suppose. If we go too early then will need to be at breakfast for 6 and no one will eat |

We do the three hours as we tend to have breakfast airside...but if having breakfast elsewhere then we'd arrive two hours before flight

Timing is preference to personnel. Arriving 2-3 hours before is fine, however we like to arrive as early as possible to soak up the Holiday vibes, enjoy breakfast, have a bit of a shop and relax.

We normally do 3 hrs.
We have sailed through Manchester security once then bought fast track the following year and it took longer than the regular queue due to a massive party going through who all got stopped for too many liquids etc etc Taking into account you would be boarding around 10/10:15, with toilet/snack stops for everyone pre flight . I would leave earlier . With eight people there is a chance one of the party could get stopped for random security checks as well . Edited at 08:38 AM. |
