Flight prices - Manchester end of Apr

We normally go indirect BA from Glasgow. Next for for 4 ad 2 c and 1 infant it is Ł3800 flydrive minivan for 17 days.

Manchester direct flights Ł2417 with Virgin, car hire Ł581 but hassle of driving to/from Manchester.

Wwyd?

Hotel pre flight and airport parking are similar so just fuel which is fine due to high mpg.

Do both of your prices include seats, baggage and all car insurance? If so that is a good deal from Manchester.The journey from Glasgow to Manchester is about 4 hours. We did it in reverse last year (not Florida !) We didn’t find it any hassle at all and are doing it again next month. You may want to include a Premier Inn for your return too if you don’t want the drive back straight after the flight. It all depends on how much you need to make the saving too.

Yes includes everything. Im paying for whole family to go do it makes a difference but nephew will only be 6 months old so dont want to put any undue pressure on my sister but difference would buy seaworld tix...

That is how I see it too. It is a head start towards tickets for the sake of a few hours in the car. We have also travelled from Lancashire to Gatwick.

What about the train to Man airport, more relaxing for the driver and more space to move around with the wee one. If you book at 12 week mark it will be similar to petrol costs, we have done it from Edinburgh into Man Airport and it was very easy even with buggies etc.

That Ł800 saving makes it worthwhile going to Manchester for me. We’re taking the train up and down so as we can sleep on way home!

Thanks folks. Took the leap and booked Manchester 😁 It even got slightly cheaper! Robbed out of Glasgow 😯
