Renting DVC but two parties

Hi, never done this DVC renting business before. If you go through a broker, what are the chances of finding 2 rooms near to each other as we would be two parties?

Does it just depend who has available points at that same time so not really much chance.

Do you do 2 separate bookings with the broker?

Thanks!

Any member (or rental agency) can book two separate rooms as long as they have enough points available. Obviously, for longer stays, it will be harder to find a member with enough points for both bookings but there's nothing to stop you booking through two different members.

There's no guarantee they'll be close to each other though, but you can ask the member to put a request on the reservation.

you put in a request called 'family gathering' but it is just that so no guarantees even with booking under the same member as its 2 separate bookings

The Poly has connecting DVC rooms, I’ve booked two for September. It’s not officially guaranteed but I was told it wouldn’t be a problem.

I've actually been a renter of one room in this arrangement. David's asked me to put a request in, giving the other parties' name they wanted to be near.
Member Services confirmed they had done it, but like any room requests, they said it could not be guaranteed. The same goes if you were booking 2 rooms cash. Even the cash rooms are 91% occupancy so there's not much fat, and it will also depend on how motivated the allocator is feeling.
I have no idea if my request was fulfilled or not BTW.

I have booked 2 rooms through Davids, they were booked by the same owner, but 2 bookings. I have asked to be close together but it doesn't really matter. I see from the room plans on touringplans that there are quite a few pairs of studios next to each other. I hadn't even realised that happened in any resort.

Sorry to jump on this thread, how do you rent points?
I would love to stay onsite again but not sure if I could ever afford it, is it cheaper than booking OKW or SSR direct with Disney?
Can you recommend a broker?

Renting points is possibly, possibly not cheaper than OKW and SSR with Disney with free dining plan. Most DVC owners won’t touch the dining plan and instead buy only what they need cash, so if you are renting, the first saving to think about is dropping the dining plan possibly (you can get it but the renter has to book it in dollars on the DVC site) and getting less food (only what you actually need ) cash.
Where renting can be a lot cheaper is staying at the monorail and Epcot resorts, particularly if the free dining plan isn’t on, and staying in 1 and 2 beds in particular at these resorts which can be very expensive booking cash.
If you go on dvcrequest (David’s) they have a cost and points calculator so you can see exactly how much it will cost you, and compare then to Disney prices.
