Prescription Glasses- Purchasing Advice

Hi dibbers,

Does anyone having any experience of purchasing prescription glasses in Florida?

I wondered where is best for a nice selection & if they accept UK prescriptions?

We bought some for DD in 2015, we got them from Eyeglass World in Kissimmee, we had an eye test done as she was overdue but they would have accepted a written prescription. The selection was huge, bigger than vision express or specsaver. Their prices were also a lot lower.

We've bought many times in Walmart opticians using UK prescriptions. We usually go on first day of our holiday to choose and order and they've always been ready within 7-10 days and always sooner than estimated. Very happy with the choices and service, plus you can take them to Asda opticians here if you have any problems. They usually have some sort of offer, eg BOGOF or 20% off 2nd Pair, and this isn't restricted to one person/one prescription.

We have also used Lenscrafters in one of the malls who do a same-day service but you will find them more expensive.

We got glasses for both of us at Walmarts, took prescription from Vision express done a month earlier.

Again start of the holiday.
