Question DLA and housing/council tax benefits?

I have been awarded dla for ds and because of that my tax credits have gone up due to the disability premium. I notified the housing/council tax and they have re assessed my income and now say I owe more money as the extra tax credits are counted as income? I've just spent an hour on the phone trying to get some sense out of someone who clearly didn't understand what I was asking and kept telling me I'm better off with the new calculation. From the figures they quoted over the phone for income they've added a £69 allowance but then they deduct the £84 I get meaning I'm £15 a week worse off yet now I have to pay double what I was before and it also means I'm only actually gaining £15 of the £84 I've been awarded for the disability premium in my tax credits.
I've looked on line and it says that because its a disability premium it shouldn't be included as income and if anything I should get more help not less

I even tried the entitled to calculator and that shows my estimated entitlement is far more that what they are saying I now get.

I’d persevere and try someone else, or better still take yourself off to the council offices. I’ve always found face to face to work much better in these sort of situations. If you’re sure your right don’t give up. Ask for the Supervisor. Going straight to the top is the way to go.
