The Gastropub range is amazing too! We had the chicken in red wine last night with parmentier potatoes. My husband is obsessed with the Gastropub millionaire cheesecake pots. The crime brûlée is lovely.

The only thing I haven’t liked from the Gastropub range was the duck croquettes. They just had a really wierd flavour.

I care not but maybe best not to check out the calories.

Isn’t it sad the better something tastes the more the fat or calorific content.

Still like the pies from the deli counter at Cheshire Oaks but only buy them when they are on the offer.
Same with their crisps.
Apart from a few other things M&S has gone really downhill compared to a few years ago.
Whereas Waitrose still seem consistently good.

The calorific content is crazy. My son is obsessed with calories so tells my husband the calories in everything he eats He is used to it now and just rolls his eyes. Saying that, the millionaire pots are teeny tiny and have 400 calories in them

Love their cold meat, get through 2 packs of ham @ £3 a pack. But lovely in a salad with their coleslaw. Fruit scones are fab x

I’m another regular shopper, love all their food. I have had quite a few of the Sparks freebies, Chocolate truffles, croissants & Percy Pigs.

I was sent a survey asking what I thought about the freebies and I responded saying they were great but could do with some healthier options like fruit etc.

They must have listened because my next freebie was an avocado 🥑. Should have kept quiet and enjoyed my Percy Pigs, that’ll teach me lol.

DW went through the checkout a few weeks back with her Sparks card.
She had roughly £20 of goods as we were heading to Sainsburys for our main shop.
She got her shopping for free didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when she got in the car and told me. lol

I used to work for M&S in Brighton over 50 years ago, they used to allow staff to purchase waste foods that has reached it sell by dates, packets of biscuits or cakes for 1p a packet (that was old penny) fresh chickens for 2 shillings, butter for 1p etc. We were poor growing up so to be able to eat M&S food was a complete luxury for us but we didn't have a freezer so lived like kings!

Do you go to the one on Robin Park? I always have a nightmare trying to park 😬😬 I am gutted they closed the town centre branch……. Another empty store in Wigan town centre 😪😪

My husband won’t eat ready meals apart from M&S moussaka ! It is amazing, it’s supposed to serve two people but we have one each with garlic bread 🙈
