Budget Car Rental, Child seat

Has anyone rented a child seat with budget before? We have booked an SUV and put on the order for a child seat for our daughter (2.5 years).
Didn't think anything else of it, but as its getting nearer the time I'm doing the classic worrying parent thing of stressing they will be rubbish or in a state. Is anyone able to quell my fears? Taking a car seat over seems very impractical.

We were going to rent a seat but also had similar concerns about the state of them or even if they would have suitable ones available. We decided to buy one from Halfords and took it with us, worked out well as we had a minibus to the airport so needed it for that too and it was really easy to take it - we just put a large bag over it and secured it. We are going to do the same this time but will also put a luggage strap around it.

We do have two car seats, as we have two cars. But I'm already taking a pram with me, all be it a carry on. So conscious of having to much luggage to carry around, plus the extra cost.
