Getting ECV to/from the parks?

Hi,
First time time posting on this board so apologies if I've overlooked the answer.
We are headed to WDW next week and my brother (who lives in the US) has spontaneously decided to join us for a few days.
He has health issues and very recently started to struggle with his mobility so he would like to hire an ECV at HS & possibly AK (if he joins us there too). He's never used one before.

I'm concerned that they might run out and wonder if he should rent one from an external company.

However, (after all that waffle!) he's staying off site. How would he be able to transport it from his hotel to the parks? Do they fold down to fit in a Uber?

Any info/guidance would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ride Shares usually drop off guests quite close to the park entrance, where he could rent one of the grey Disney scooters. I believe they are slow and heavy and quite difficult to manoeuvre. If he rented one from an outside firm such as Buena Vista Scooters they would deliver it to his address and the smaller ones can be dismantled to fit in cars. It would be cheaper, and also easier to drive round the parks.

Thank you very much for the information. I wasn't sure if they folded down/dismantled to fit in cars. I will pass the info on to him. Thanks.
