All stars V pop
Hi everyone just wondering apart from the skyliner what other reasons would you go to pop over all stars ? Or are the all stars just as good ?

We've stayed at All Star Sports in the past and would happily stay there again. Our son was 6 at the time and loved the pools and all the big characters. McDonalds was walking distance as well. The one drawback was at less busy times the All Star resorts can share buses but it didn't have much of an impact. In my opinion all the value resorts are much the same. We chose Pop Century this time purely for the skyliner.

I'm going for the first time in a couple of weeks and did extensive research into which resort to pick. It was between AoA, one of the All Stars and Pop. I went with Pop.
We are a group of three so AoA was out based on the price of the suites and the Little Mermaid rooms being a higher price and a long distance from anything in the resort. What made us choose Pop of the All Stars was the transport. The Skyliner was the biggest part of this. The amount of people that rave about it being brilliant on here speaks for itself. Time is money and getting to places quicker is key for me.

I've stayed at both Pop and All Stars (pre-Skyliner). Definitely preferred Pop. One of the main reasons was the lake between Pop and AOA. It's a really nice place to sit and relax. Also, buses at All Star Music (where I stayed) were generally already full by the time they'd picked up from the other two resorts. Pop just has the one stop.

As others have said Pop has no real shared buses which can add quite a bit of time to journeys, at the start of the day it is frustrating but ok, at the end of the day when you are tired it can really be annoying. We prefer the larger food court at Pop and the very different selections just over the bridge at AoA. Pop also has 2 quieter pools compared the the ASs one per resort, the grounds are more spread out (but still easy to walk from end to end in 10 minutes or less), the lake setting is lovely and skyliner is huge perk. While still 'value' rooms and identical to the ASs the resort itself feels like an upgrade.

Pop, always 😁
Skyliner is a game changer. Not just for getting to Epcot and HS but you want to visit some other resorts, you can get buses to anywhere from HS. Also visits to Riviera, Caribbean beach, Boardwalk resorts. Location is nicer than any of the All-Stars with the setting on the lake. Theming at AoA is fantastic but those Little Mermaid rooms are looking very tired. No matter what room you’re in you’re not too far from the main building/Skyliner. You can get the bus back to Pop or AoA The bus stops are next to each other at the parks. I also enjoy the choice of two food courts even though the menu choices have been reduced. |

I stayed at Pop recently with my daughter for 3 days. She uses a wheelchair and the Skyliner was fantastic for us. We only did HS, EPCOT and met friends at the Dolphin. Not having to take it apart to put it in my car or load it on a bus and wait for it to be tied down was so much easier.

Stayed at pop previously and it was great, but booked for all stars this time as there was around £300 saving, and I’m not a fan of the skyliner. When it goes down it’s a nightmare
