They are currently saying timetables are not confirmed beyond this Friday and tickets can't currently be booked.

Will keep an eye out, thanks. When I booked on the Trainline site this morning, the timetable and prices were up. I have since been down to the local station and picked up the tickets that I had booked. I see the Avanti site is now saying, they will be running 1 train an hour to Glasgow and if any are cancelled you can get on any other. Could even be a bit of a bonus with the delay and repay claims.

Just to let you know that if your train is cancelled and you have an advance ticket you can get on the train before or after your scheduled service, you can't get on any other train unless you have a more flexible ticket

I go Preston to London a few times a month, out of the last 4 trips I’ve have delay repay on 3 of them, thankfully it’s mainly been on the more expensive outward journey and I’ve still got to meetings in time but it’s noticeable how it’s got worse.

As it is trains are busy already, the first off peak out of London (19:30) is usually full so if there are any less trains it’s going to be chaotic.

On the plus side I recently got one of the renovated trains and it was much better, power at every seat finally
