I have never been to Old Town before and I have heard that the cars arrive in the afternoon on Saturday. If so, is it best to arrive before hand and spend the rest of the day there!

..if you get the chance to go to Old Town, check out the 300' Skyrider to the side (you won't miss it!).. just standing at the kiosk watching the punters drop, screaming to skim over the lake (do they actually pass through the fountain, or does it just look like that?) is a great laugh! Mike

With regards parking at Old Town.
We always manage to park up for the Sat night cruise and we dont go there until about 7.30 pm.
There is a huge grassed area at the very bottom end of Old Town that is used for parking on Fri/Sat nights, situated behind the kiddys rides.

The skycoaster is HUGE.
DH is so scared of heights he only just manages to stand in a small ladder to fit a light bulb lol.
He reckons he would probably pass out before he reached the top of the ride.
Does anyone know if the new Dragster car race ride has opened yet and has anyone been on it.Now this is right up DH street.

My two youngest DS's did the Skycoaster and loved it.
We were there about 3 weeks ago and they were testing the Dragster Ride and said they were due to open in a couple of weeks so I guess it should be open by now.

I have done the skycoaster many times and loved it. I really want to see the car parade as well, but didn't find the time last vacation. If DH gets well enough to visit WDW again then it is on my must do list. Carolyn

yes its open..

I've just got back from Orlando and yes the dragster ride is now open. Cruises are every Friday and Saturday. Its very busy, but parking is not a problem as as soon as the car park is full they open up a field right next to Old Town and cars are marshalled into that area (very orderly) by staff.

The Skycoater was brilliant... everyone try it as its fantastic fun and not as scary as it looks...I promise...the waiting is the worst part . It was the highlight of my holiday and I'm so glad I did it. If you buy the initail video for $16 then any additional jumps can be added on to it for a discount price of $8 - bargain.

The flight does not take you through the fountain so you dont get wet...it just looks that way from certain angles.

Enjoy

Pascalle
