Disney boardwalk do you need disney tickets to access it?
Hi all my parents are coming with us on this trip and my dad had read you can see the Epcot fireworks from Disney Boardwalk. We aren't planning on going to any of the Disney parks this visit but if we could go to boardwalk it would be good to see the fireworks as they are impressive.
If you don't need a ticket where can you park? Thanks for any replies Rae xx |

You can park at the Boardwalk Hotel, they have a small section that they use for visitors that is separate to the main hotel parking. You won't see the lower ones though, but you will see the higher ones if you stand on the bridge that links the Boardwalk with the Yacht and Beach Club Resort
Have a look on the map, the bridge is in the bottom right hand corner... http://www.thedibb.co.uk/web_images/...rtsAreaMap.pdf Edited at 07:58 PM. Reason: Added map |

You can also access the Boardwalk through the Yacht Club and Beach Clubs which are closer to Epcot
You can't see the fireworks too well from the Boardwalk though

Is it the Epcot fireworks that you especially want to see?
You can get a good view of the MK fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian and you don't need to be a guest or having a meal there Mick

You can visit ANY Disney resort without having to stay there. Normally they will allow you around 3 hours parking and yes, you may be asked to show some form of ID.
The view of the Epcot fireworks from Boardwalk is not that spectacular and you won't get the music. Certainly not like being in the park. You can enter Epcot via International Gateway (on that map above - bottom right) you come in at World Showcase between United Kingdom and France. Edited at 08:23 PM. |

I agree with Mick about maybe watching Wishes from the Poly beach instead. The view of Illuminations from the Boardwalk isn't great, here's a link to a video showing you the kind of view:
youtube/watch?v=HueGvr-9zNQ There may be spots better than that, but you'll miss the whole globe thing, whereas you can mostly see all of Wishes from the Poly beach: youtube/watch?v=9paB7B788vc (clip isn't great and it just shows the finale but you get the gist.) Also, the music from Wishes is played on the Poly beach, whereas the audio from Illuminations isn't played on the Boardwalk, so that's maybe a factor too. |
