It was group F. I like it. Usually have minivan but only 3 of us travelling to airport so space is adequate

Not sure on upgraded price but on booking originally would have been over a grand each instead of £275

Nothing extra needed. I joined Avis preferred so went straight to garage, handed cc and license over and away in 2 mins no hard sell

Hi Dave. Sounds like you've had a great experience.
We are doing the same thing come 29th June although first flights from Edinburgh.
How did you find exiting the car center? Ive been google mapping a route to our hotel, where we are staying for our first night, it looks like the roads could be quite hard to navigate.

Just thought of another question.
WE are also AVIS Preferred members, was it easy to find the board with your name on it and did you need to go to the desk or did you just go straight to your car?
Cheers..

Sounds like you have had a great experience. We are flying Glasgow to Heathrow, having an overnight and then flying out to Miami the next day at the end of June.

What route did you take to drive up to Orlando?

Hope you are having a great holiday

Exiting the airport is the hardest if you’re not use to it. I had the initial route on screen shots to save data but needed sat nav on my phone after getting lost
I’m not use to Miami unlike orlando when I go on auto pilot

We went straight over to the kiosk on the garage, huge board with names on you can’t miss it.
It was my first rental so I knew I needed to see the guy in the kiosk. Literally took 2 mins and he told me what bay my car was.

I was going to use the 27 as my original plan was driving up to Orlando after 4 days from the Keys.
Ended up using the Turnpike as the junction was near the hotel I was at in Kendall. Left hotel at 9am and was at the Hyatt Regency Pointe Orlando by 1215. Only had one toilet stop and stretch of legs.
